Job Description: Supports the AFOTEC F-35 OT&E program at Edwards AFB, CA. A team member of cyber security professionals, test engineers, and test analysts as a recognized expert in the design, development, execution, and reporting of cyber operational effectiveness and suitability capabilities of the F-35 Air System. Responsibilities:
Develop test designs and plans for the execution of OT and reporting on the cyber security capabilities of the F-35 Air System.
Integrate RMF for DoD IT for the development of cyber operations test designs, data management and analysis plans (DMAP) and test data storage/retrieval systems.
Use cyber T&E knowledge crossing multiple cyber disciplines (e.g. information operations, command and control, cyber vulnerability analysis, cyber threat indications and warnings, etc.) to modify and extend cyber operational test practices and theories as required by F-35 OT&E.
Apply specialized knowledge of network attack, network defense, network warfare support, network operations, and related IOs to support evaluation of cyberspace capabilities designed to accomplish network reconnaissance, surveillance, combat, training and other assigned missions.
Document analysis and test techniques for use in test design, planning, executing, and reporting of cyberspace operational test activities.
Participate in or support cyber test events conducted by AFOTEC teams, i.e. Non-Technical Assessments and Recovery/Continuity of Operations (COOP) Exercises.
Document and coordinate actions with all organizations having input or being affected by the cyber security analysis methods.
Identify non-standard, missing, or emerging cyber security operational requirements, assess impact to assigned programs, and develop recommendations. Analyze operational impact created by the incompatibility of future programs and initiate corrective actions.
Prepare and deliver oral presentations. Such presentations are high-level briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other internal/external organizational functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned programs.
Attends cyber security working groups, planning teams, test events (to witness), or other meetings and conferences.
SECRET security clearance. Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance and SAP.
Cyber Security Level 1 certification; IA (level 2/3) certification, i.e. CISSP or CISM IA Management Level Certifications
3-5 years of experience with operations to detect, deny, disrupt, deceive and mitigate adversarial access to networks
Knowledge and previous experience with aircraft systems, network warfare, network system operations, cyber operations, and IO planning is highly desired
Knowledge and previous experience with cyber security; IA; full spectrum cyberspace operations; air operations centers; expeditionary communications; data links management, spectrum management, knowledge based operations; telecommunications; space, command and control.
