Job Description: Provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) test capabilities for the F-35 OT&E program at Edwards AFB California. The F-35 Senior Test Analyst (Cyber) will support an initiative to develop test infrastructure for development and migration of the newer versions of information databases for the F‑35. Development and accreditation of the test infrastructure will provide the user community with an environment for exercising real life and ad hoc cyber scenarios on these databases without interfering with the operational database. The F-35 Senior Test Analyst (Cyber) shall support the JSF Operational Test Team (JOTT) in identifying conditions under which this operationally representative network may be used during F-35 operational testing. Responsibilities:
Frequently interact with military officers from the DoD and Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Partner countries, government agencies, Lockheed Martin, and foreign disclosure officers.
Assist in conceptual model validation of F-35 M&S systems to identify inherent capabilities and limitations of the JSE federation architecture and modeling approach.
Assess the impact of federation-level M&S capabilities and limitations on OT&E.
Provide detailed assessments on the adequacy of verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) plans and reports to support accreditation of F-35 M&S tools for the intended use during OT&E.
Review the verifications and validation (V&V) packages provided by the Department of Defense Intelligence Centers and the wrappers developed through the JSF Program Offices V&V process to assess limitations of cyber threat models in F-35 M&S.
Write scientific and technical reports for modeling and simulation (M&S) assessments and OT&E trials.
Current SECRET clearance. Candidates must be able to be cleared for additional SAP and a TOP SECRET clearance.
Bachelors Degree in a technically related field. (Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science etc.)
Security + certification
Familiar with analytical software tools from MathWorks or scripting languages
A Master of Science degree in a related technical area (Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics)
Advanced Cybersecurity certifications
Advanced knowledge of M&S federation design and accreditation
Direct experience with Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Assessments
Knowledge of the Adversarial Assessment phases of test and evaluation
Experience with Combat Aircraft (Pilots, Weapons Systems Officers, Navigators and Flight Test Engineers, etc.)
Experience in aircraft test, either DT or OT, as an engineer/analyst
Knowledge of test plans procedures, data collection, analysis, & reporting. Familiarity with AFOTEC Test Planning
Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the planning and assessment of operational tests for highly complex weapon systems and subsystems
