Responsibilities:
- Perform cybersecurity related tasks designed to safeguard the security of systems and information assets by protecting against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
- Manage information systems security, including disaster recovery, database protection, and software development
- Perform technical support focused on the development, operation, management, and enforcement of security capabilities for systems and networks
- Lead a cybersecurity team providing cybersecurity and IT professional support services to the government customers and their clients
- Implement network security policies and procedures, ensure network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access, and protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
- Evaluate IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss
- Determine and recommend improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades
- Establish plans and administer the overall policies, goals, and procedures for the information security function.
- Plan and execute Cybersecurity IT Operations events and activities
- Review, analyze, and interpret customer T&E and Cybersecurity information
- Develop and submit internal and external weekly and monthly task order activity reports (WARs & MSRs) ensuring format, technical and schedule compliance
- Perform TO financial, technical, schedule and management requirements and ensure annual IT asset logistics inspections are completed
- As part of the team, work with end users to determine needs, implement policies or procedures, and track compliance
- Help establish plans and administer the overall policies, goals, and procedures for the information security function
- Analyze information security systems and applications then recommend and develop effective security measures. Identify, report, and resolve security violations
- Ensure that required training requirements are completed in accordance with PMO guidance
- Adhere to DISA JITC ISO 9001 Auditable Unit (AU) processes and ensure that the program milestones are met
- Solicit system requirements and associated operational environments to produce an evaluation approach that supports T&E objectives
- Report on issues and identify cybersecurity Courses of Action (CoAs) for customer approval to mitigate issues quickly
- Assist in planning out task order period of performance planning, execution, data collection/ analysis, reporting and close out activities
- Ensure common T&E practices and DoD cybersecurity/information security directives and instructions are followed during the following processes: identify requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, and report on findings
- Plan Government customer and assigned MAC internal and external IPR, Working group or information meetings
- Manage the assigned team, work schedule, PTO, and ensure work environment compliance
Qualifications / Experience:
- Current DoD Secret clearance or higher eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field and 4+ years of related IT experience (Additional certifications, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- 2+ years of recent hands-on experience in specific cybersecurity IT fields/testing areas and the capabilities associated with the DoD architecture including IA/CND Policies and Procedures
- DoDD 8570/8140 IAT / IAM Level II Certification. IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) or IAM Level II (CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO)
- Recent and relevant hand-on cybersecurity and T&E of an IT/NSS T&E project that includes all phases of a T&E life cycle in the areas of Developmental, Operational, Cybersecurity, Unified Capabilities, Joint Interoperability, Verification and Validation, and Standards Conformance and Compliance testing
- Willing and available to travel 10 - 20% of the time
